AFS thanks the Data & Technology Section for hosting this session!
The AFS Data & Technology Section invites you to share your feedback on an R-based application, currently in development, to evaluate exploited fish populations for smaller scale stock management. This is being called “rFAMS” as it is designed to serve the same purpose as the Microsoft-based Fisheries Analysis and Modeling Simulator (FAMS; Slipke and Maceina 2013). The rFAMS application will be a stand-alone R package that leverages the existing FSA package but will include an R-Shiny point-and-plug interface option for users that do not code in R. The presenters will provide a brief summary of the underlying design of the application and demo the R package and application using an example, then they will take questions and feedback for the remainder of the webinar.
Presenters:
Hadley Boehm – Minnesota Department of Natural Resources
Jason Doll – Francis Marion University
Madeline Lewis – Iowa Department of Natural Resources
