LEANNE ROULSON ELECTED AFS SECOND VICE PRESIDENT

The AFS Officers are happy to announce that Leanne Roulson has been elected by membership to serve as the Second Vice President for the Society, taking effect at the end of the Annual Meeting in Atlantic City.

Leanne is a fisheries biologist and environmental policy specialist. She is an AFS-Certified Fisheries professional with more than 18 years of experience working in natural resources consulting. Leanne manages environmental policy projects involving energy (hydropower, solar, oil, and gas), mineral development, land management, and transportation across the western United States.

She conducts ecological surveys for fish and other aquatic organisms, riparian and wetland assessments, and mitigation planning. Her policy experience includes planning, public meeting facilitation, comment analysis, agency consultation, and compiling and editing large-scale environmental impact statements and environmental assessments for federal and state agencies throughout the western United States.

Leanne received her M.S. in Fish and Wildlife Management at Montana State University and her B.A. in Biology at the University of Oregon.
