Expertise sought: Potential members of these Science Review Teams (SRT) should have expertise in the general area of the development and/or application of information on climate change impacts on fisheries, wildlife, and cultural resources. This may include but is not limited to:
- Climate modeling and regional downscaling
- Assessments of climate change impacts to physical and cultural systems
- Vulnerability assessments of fish, wildlife and their habitats
- Collaborative development of climate adaptation strategies for regional stakeholders
- Education and training of graduate and post-doctoral fellows
- Application of CSC science products to natural and cultural resource management programs of state, federal, tribal and First Nations, non-profits and other relevant organizations.
SRT members can be from academia, state and federal agencies, non-profits, tribal and First Nations and others as appropriate. SRT members cannot be a current or past recipient of CSC funds from the CSC being reviewed, nor have an application for funding in the process of being developed for submission or currently under consideration by the CSC being reviewed.
Review Team Member Expectations:
All SRT members are expected to be completely available for the review dates and locations listed (travel expenses provided). SRT members must be able to participate, to the greatest degree possible, in 2-3 conference calls prior to the onsite review, dedicate necessary time to read preparatory materials (CSC documents and a limited number of science publications from the CSC), and be available to provide written material for the CSC review report during and after the onsite review. It is anticipated that this will require, in addition to the onsite review commitment, an additional 8-12 hours prior to the review and 8-12 hours after the review.
All expenses for travel, lodging, meals and any additional travel-related expenses will be covered for the SRT members. There is no remuneration for the time of SRT members.
Application Process:
Please submit a cover letter specifying the review that you are interested in participating in, a resume of no more than 5 pages, and a one-page or less statement of interest describing the unique qualifications that you would bring to the SRT. If you are interested and available in more than one review, you may note on your application which reviews you would like to be considered for and an order of preference. Your will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your application and should receive notification of the status of your application within 30 days of the closing date.
