AFS is grateful for your past support, and we hope you’ll renew your membership for the coming year. For 2026, we’re excited to launch our new membership system.
AFS made this change to better serve both the Society and our members. NEW FEATURES! It includes an annual auto-renewal option and the ability to join Chapters or Sections at any time. If you’ve attended an AFS meeting in the last five years, you’ll notice that it’s the same system we use for those registrations.
To log in to the new system, use your existing password; if it doesn’t work, click the “Reset password” to get a password reset link emailed to you. If you have previously attended a meeting or submitted an abstract, you may need to reset your password.

NOTE: We will not be automatically including your Chapter and Section selections from 2025. If you need to refer to your current subscriptions, simply log in to your “legacy” AFS account here.
Renewing your membership will guarantee continued access to all your membership benefits such as:
- Online access to Fisheries magazine and five renowned scientific journals
- Discounts on AFS Annual Meeting registration and any book in our online Bookstore
- Access to AFS’s Job Board and Career Center
You can access your AFS online resources in the new membership system! When you log in, in your “My Account” page, scroll to the bottom where you can click on AFS Journals and Fisheries magazine.
If you prefer not to pay online, check payments can be sent to:
American Fisheries Society
25 Century Blvd, Suite 505
Nashville, TN 37214
Questions? Have any questions or need help with logging in or using the new database? E-mail Kelly Kotche, AFS Membership Manager, at kkotche@fisheries.org for assistance.
Thank you for your support and your continued participation. We look forward to serving you as a part of the AFS community in 2026.
