Log In and Explore

In keeping with green conference principles, rather than receiving a printed program book, attendees should download the "American Fisheries Events" mobile app now available from the App Store or Google Play. Once you have logged in and created a profile, you can begin to build out your schedule. Personalized schedules created on either the mobile App or desktop Conference Platform are shared between the two platforms.

We expect access to presentation recordings to open soon. Registered in-person and virtual attendees will receive an email with login information when it launches.

Plenary sessions will be livestreamed from Cancun—links to these events will be posted on the desktop platform and app a few minutes before the events begin.

Read and Follow the Code of Conduct

The LACFC values the diversity of views, expertise, opinions, backgrounds, and experiences reflected among all attendees, and is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all meeting participants and staff. All participants, including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, staff, service providers, and others, are expected to abide by this Meeting Code of Conduct.

Upload Your Presentation

All PowerPoint slide decks, pre-recorded virtual and on-site presentations, and posters must be uploaded by 10 May. With almost 300 presentations, staff needs adequate time to organize and quality check the uploads. See your email or the Presenter Guidelines for the login link and recording and uploading instructions.

Speaker Support in Cancun will be available in Tulum 4. If needed, you can update your slide decks in Cancun. In Cancun, slide decks must be updated at least 24 hours before your session starts. You will be unable to upload your slide deck after 10 May 2023 via the online link.

Safely Enjoy Cancun

The U.S. State Department has issued a Level 2 Travel Advisory (Exercise Increased Caution) for the Cancun area. This is the same precaution level as most major cities in Western Europe, for example. Travelers should maintain a high level of situational awareness, avoid areas where illicit activities occur, and promptly depart from potentially dangerous situations. Click here to view the Mexico Travel Advisory for more information. Please use the typical international travel precautions of not traveling alone after dark, only using legitimate taxi services, and remaining in well-lit pedestrian streets and tourist zones.

Dress for the Heat (and the Cold)

Attendees are encouraged to wear casual clothes suitable for Cancun's weather of >30 degrees C (high 80s F) and 70% humidity. Those sensitive to chilly air conditioning might also want to bring a light sweater or jacket as well.
