Make Your Tax-Deductible Year-End Contribution Today

As the end of 2018 approaches, we thank you for your ongoing support of AFS. For nearly 150 years, AFS has worked to advance and protect fisheries and fisheries science. But membership dues cover less than 20% of the costs needed to produce quality publications, affordable webinars and professional training, and maintain a proactive presence on Capitol Hill. Help us reach our goal to raise $20,000 before December 31.

Aquatic Scientists Push Back Against Narrow WOTUS Rule

AFS joined its CASS partners to protest the release this week of a new rule, by the EPA and U.S. Army Corps of Civil Engineers, to replace the 2015 Waters of the U.S. Rule (WOTUS). This new rule would roll back Clean Water Act protections for a majority of U.S. streams and wetlands. For the press release, go here; for more context, read here.

AFS is offering more than 100 hard-copy book titles up to 75% off until January 7. Complete your science library at dramatically reduced prices! With so many tantalizing titles, you will find that perfect stocking-stuffer for your #fishsci aficionado.
