Large‐scale mechanical removal of nonnative fishes has been implemented throughout parts of the Colorado River basin to aid recovery of endangered fishes, but the effects of these efforts can be difficult to quantify.

In the latest Fisheries Magazine, researchers review a 28‐year project to restore a Bull Trout Salvelinus confluentus population in a small Oregon watershed. Restoration evolved from eradication and exclusion of nonnative fishes within the boundaries of a national park to stream reconstruction and reconnection of a historical stream network across state and private property.

Help Dr. Randy Singer at the Florida Museum of Natural History collect data for his Ph.D. by participating in a survey that evaluates how fish researchers interact with biodiversity (natural history) collections. The survey is anonymous and voluntary.
