Vax Up, Mask Up

Proof of COVID vaccination is required to enter the meeting venue. See our guidelines for how to quickly and smoothly provide your vaccination credentials. Currently the City of Baltimore requires masks in indoor public venues, though there are no restrictions on group size and speakers are not required to wear a mask during their presentation. Restaurants and bars are open at full capacity. More information is also available on our FAQ page.

Virtual attendees should log into the Attendee Hub online, create a profile, and start familiarizing themselves with the platform. Links to join live events will appear 5-10 minutes prior to the event start.

Because there is no printed program book this year, in-person attendees should download the "Cvent Event App" and search for the "AFS151" meeting. Once you have logged in and created a profile, you can begin to build out your schedule. Schedules created on either the App or Hub are shared between the two platforms.

Please note that we are continuing to explore options to improve schedule navigation on both the Attendee Hub and the App!

In-person speakers should log in to the Speaker Resource Center on Saturday to double-check their room and time due to possible last-minute minor schedule adjustments. Also remember to stop at the A/V Loading Room to upload your PowerPoint file at least 24 hours before your presentation if you did not already upload it to the Speaker Resource Center.

Fall Back into Bed

Daylight savings time ends on Sunday morning, so if you're heading to the Spawning Run or have an early morning paper, you can catch a few extra ZZZs! Additionally, this year the opening Plenary Session begins at 3:00 pm on Sunday.

Go Virtual

Virtual attendees can look forward to myriad opportunities to see live and recorded presentations and interact with speakers and each other.

Online networking events and ad hoc meetings will be held in our GatherTown platform, similar to the one used for the Western Division meeting this spring. This intuitive environment allows attendees to easily move from group to group for social video conversations or join others at a table in a virtual conference room.

Around Baltimore

Baltimore has many fascinating neighborhoods. For your safety, we recommend staying near the water and exploring the Inner Harbor, Little Italy, Fells Point, and Federal Hill areas. Areas north of Lombard Street should be avoided at night.

Flash Your Badge

Download the Charm City Pass app for discounts at sights and restaurants around Baltimore when you show your meeting badge.

Refuel & Recharge

Coffee - we all need it. Find your favorite caffeinated beverages and snacks in the Exhibit Hall or just in front of it at break times.

The Saturday and Sunday evening networking events include beverage tickets and passed appetizers only, while the Student Networking and the National Aquarium events are full meals.

Bid to Win

Don't forget to check out the growing array of great items in this year's Silent Auction, benefitting the Skinner Fund for student travel. Both virtual and in-person attendees can submit bids!

Go Purple

You can't go wrong wearing purple on Sunday as the Baltimore Ravens host the Minnesota Vikings for a NFL football game at M&T Bank Stadium a few blocks from our hotels. Expect the hotels, bars, restaurants, and parking facilities around the Inner Harbor to be more busy that day.
