Abstract | The coronavirus pandemic forced us to consider how we do everything when sheltered in place. The post-coronavirus world will include more opportunities to explore virtual worlds that replace face-to-face interactions with some technological fix. I describe principles and practices of online teaching and suggest that these principles of Pandemic Online Teaching will apply to the world of fish conservation and management. I encourage all listeners to consider opportunities to learn and grow during the pandemic. I conclude with a call to explore the potential of virtual communities that can work at the interface between government and the fishing communities. |
