The Minnesota Chapter of the American Fisheries Society is excited to partner with the Dakota Chapter to host the annual 2019 meeting in Fargo, North Dakota from February 25 – 27, 2019.
THEME – Fisheries in a Connected World
This joint meeting will be an opportunity to hear about populations, programs, and projects from a broader swatch of the Midwest than single Chapter meetings. Presentations that feature unique regional aspects are encouraged as well as our usual technical and scientific method based presentations. Some suggested topics: Red River basin fisheries, river restoration and connectivity, trout fisheries (SE MN and Black Hills), walleye/warmwater lake fisheries, non-game and rare fish, and landscape-(fish) habitat connections. We would also like to have a session that focuses on human/professional aspects, even from a personal perspective. If you have advice to young professionals or a unique public input or social media experience, here is your chance to share. If anyone has a specific session that they would like to see developed contact Edie Evarts, President-elect MN.
