Trout Unlimited is working with the USFS-Monongahela National Forest to assist activities that support native trout and aquatic resource conservation. We are looking to fill several temporary positions (6 month maximum, ranging from April-November, start dates are negotiable). There will be overlap and cross-training in multiple restoration activities but each hire will have a specific central focus. Focus positions include: Stream Restoration Technicians which will involve improving stream channel conditions through manual labor techniques such as chainsaw and hoisting and Stream Survey Technicians which will conduct stream habitat assessments and fisheries surveys. All technicians may be involved in support of other restoration work such as road decommissioning and riparian planting. Please see web link below for a full list of responsibilities.
