Manage all aspects of operations and fish productions a one of the largest salmon hatcheries in North America, located in remote Alaska in the scenic Prince William Sound. Administrative duties of this position include direction of all phases of fish production, participation in long range planning for facility improvement, budget development, preparation of comprehensive reports and studies, as well as management of on-site staff. The facility incubates 305 million eggs among a variety of salmon species including Pink, Chum, Coho and Chinook, making for a dynamic work environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Science or closely related field and two year’s experience as a Fish Culturist or one year has an assistant hatchery manager; substitution: four years of progressively responsible work experience in aquaculture or mariculture will substitute for the bachelor’s degree.
