|Agency, Location||Aquaculture and Fisheries Department, UA-Pine Bluff|
|Salary||$18,800/year plus tuition|
Knowledge gaps exist regarding demographic parameters of Silver Carp and Bighead Carp populations within the Lower Mississippi River. Specifically, there is limited information regarding population characteristics (e.g., relative abundances, age distribution, and growth) among tributaries of the Lower Mississippi River. Additionally, limited information exists regarding movement patterns among sub-basins for Silver Carp and Bighead Carp at different life-stages. This project will assess distribution, population characteristics, movement patterns, and reproductive origins of Silver Carp and Bighead Carp in the Arkansas and White Rivers.
