During the first three years at UAF, the successful applicant will serve as a member of the interdisciplinary EPSCoR Fire and Ice research team, which is examining the impacts of climate change on fire-impacted boreal forests and glacially-influenced coastal ecosystems.
Qualified applicants must have a Ph.D. in fisheries, biology, or a related field from an accredited university, with dissertation research on fisheries genetics, functional or ecological genomics, or similar topics. Postdoctoral research experience is preferred. The applicant must be proficient in English, have experience teaching at the university level, and have a strong research and publication record appropriate to their experience and date of degree.
