We are seeking applicants for a fully funded (12 months/yr) Graduate Research Assistantship to study variation in fish assemblages across Gulf Coastal Plains streams in Arkansas in relation to land use. Primary responsibilities will be to sample fishes using backpack electrofishing techniques and collect instream physical habitat data, fish identification, data analysis, and report preparation. B.S. in Biology, Fisheries Science, Environmental Science, or related fields. Minimum GPA of 3.0. The applicant must have the ability to work independently, enjoy long hours in beautiful Ouachita ecoregion streams, and work with a team.
