Field and Hatchery technicians(N=5) are needed to conduct lake sturgeon research and conservation aquaculture. Field work includes capture of adults, collection of gametes and larvae using multiple sampling techniques, collection of stream physical and biotic data, conducting experiments in stream and lab. In addition, technicians will assist in fish production and experimental research in a stream-side facility.
Applicants should have an interest in fisheries science, be enrolled in a biological degree program such as fisheries, zoology, natural resources or allied fields, or completed BS degree. Valid driver’s license is required. Experience with handling of live fish, use of fisheries sampling and assessment equipment, computer operation and data base management are required. Hatchery experience would be beneficial. Special consideration given to candidates with experience identifying macroinvertebrates. Apply via contact/email below.
