Collects biological and human dimensions data via angler interviews; enters data using computers; operates boats and motors.
Ability to interact with the public, willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather, proficient at identifying sport fish, and knowledge of boat operations required; interest in fishing, conservation, or fisheries management preferred; may need to provide a vehicle able to tow a small boat. Everyone hired as a creel clerk will be required to complete a watercraft operator’s proficiency examination approved by the Ohio Division of Parks & Watercraft, or show proof of having already completed either a National Association of State Boating Law Administrators boating course, or a proficiency examination approved by the Ohio Division of Parks & Watercraft.
