Assist with the collection of telemetry and stable isotope data to provide population dynamics and diet overlap for Striped Bass and other fishes in Bull Shoals Reservoir. Use an assortment of fisheries sampling techniques including: gill nets, electrofishing, acoustic telemetry equipment, boats with outboard and jet motors, and other laboratory equipment, maintain the accuracy and availability to information in databases, provide field and technical support to researchers, and perform maintenance on boats and equipment. The position is located in West Plains, MO and is renewed annually for at least 3 years.
B.S. in Fisheries or similar; experience operating boats, trucks, fish sampling equipment (e.g., electrofishing, telemetry, gill nets); ability to work independently and in harsh conditions.
