The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of field and lab components of multiple fisheries research studies. Duties will include performing water quality, using standard fish sampling gears, fish identifications, fish ageing, and routine maintenance of boats, trailers, gears, and other equipment. Incumbent will manage diverse datasets, and organize all field and lab activities. Good computer and data management skills are required, with specialized statistical, programming, and mapping (e.g., ArcView/GIS, side-scan sonar, Reefmaster, etc.) skills preferred.
A degree (B.S. required, M.S. preferred) in fisheries, natural resources, or closely related field. Experience with diverse types of fisheries field and lab work preferred.
