The successful candidate will participate in various projects where analysis of environmental data is required. Applicants should have a strong background in environmental science, data analysis using statistical techniques, and programming. Responsibilities include data processing and analysis, and report writing. Temporary professional position lasting up to two years.
The candidate will have a master’s degree in environmental science, biology, fisheries, computer science, math, or a related field. Experience with managing data (MS Excel, SQL), analyzing data (programming), and writing (e.g. reports, publications, thesis) is required. The ability to work well both independently and in a team setting is necessary. Experiences in spatial data analysis (GIS) is appreciated, and preference will be given to candidates who have experience using R and/or Python.
