These are 1 year limited term position located at the Auburn University Gulf Coast Research Center in Fairhope, AL. The successful applicant will conduct research on marine fishes in the northern Gulf of Mexico. Tasks include: building artificial reefs; participating in offshore research cruises; conducting ecological and assessment studies on age, growth, reproduction and diets, mark-recapture and ultrasonic telemetry, reef fish SCUBA and hydroacoustic surveys; maintain laboratory captive fishes; using and maintaining laboratory equipment; maintaining and operating research vessels; presenting results of research at professional meetings.
The minimum qualification is a Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Fisheries, Marine Fisheries Ecology, Marine Biology or related fields. Preferred: fish otolith work, SCUBA diving.
