The Nye lab in Fisheries Oceanography seeks a postdoctoral scholar to study the effects of climate change on marine fishes and ecosystems. This is an exciting opportunity to combine laboratory and field data into population and/or ecosystem models to understand how climate influences fish populations and the productivity and stability of marine ecosystems. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with national and international collaborators as well as mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
PhD in marine science, fisheries science, ecology or relate field. Candidate must have a strong background in statistics and modeling, preferably with experience with Bayesian statistics. They must also have strong interpersonal skills and have a record of publishing their research. Experience with Ecopath with Ecosim preferred, but not required.
