The School of Aquaculture, Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences (SFAAS) at Auburn University invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellow/Researcher at our Alabama Fish Farming Center (AFFC) in Greensboro, AL (http://sfaas.auburn.edu/affc/). The AFFC is located approximately 150 miles from Auburn University in Greensboro and serves as a satellite laboratory for interaction with the commercial aquaculture industry in west Alabama. The successful candidate will interact with AFFC faculty and staff, local aquaculture producers, members of the Southeastern Cooperative Fish Parasite and Disease Project (located in SFAAS), and USDA ARS researchers to develop projects related to shrimp and catfish health and production. This is a benefit eligible, non-tenure track position. The appointment is for an initial period of one year with a possibility of continuance up to a maximum of four years depending on performance and funding availability.
The minimum qualification is an earned Ph.D. in Aquaculture, Fisheries, or closely related field at the time employment begins. Research experience with shrimp and/or catfish production and associated aquatic diseases is desirable. Preference will be given to applicants that have experience in meta-analysis.
