The School of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences at Auburn University is seeking candidates for a Post-Doctoral Fellow to work both independently and as part of a team to conduct scientific research on oyster breeding. **This position is located at the Auburn University Shellfish Lab in Dauphin Island, Alabama.** A detailed position advertisement including application instructions and requirements can be found at the following link: http://aufacultypositions.peopleadmin.com/postings/3782. The appointment is for an initial period of one year with a possibility of continuance up to a maximum of four years depending on performance and funding availability.
The minimum qualification is an earned Ph.D. in Aquaculture, Fisheries, Genetics, or closely related field at the time employment begins. Selected candidates must have experience working with shellfish spawning and selective breeding, experience with analyzing data sets, and experience with manuscript preparation and publication.
