Provide data and modeling support for the development of an agent-based model to predict larval sturgeon behavior in relation to river hydrodynamics. Specific responsibilities will include functionalizing/parameterizing data for use in the model, model validation and calibration, analysis of large data sets, working with programmers to update model code, and analyzing model outputs to generate hypotheses about mechanisms driving sturgeon recruitment failure in the Columbia River.
PhD (within 5 years) and experience with computational biology or simulation modeling, agent-based modeling, model validation and calibration, data/statistical analysis, and manipulating large data sets.
