Position will aid St. Clair-Detroit River System (SCDRS) Initiative to continue development and implementation a long-term ecosystem monitoring plan. The researcher will assist university and government scientists to inventory and evaluate monitoring programs, develop a conceptual framework to implement a long-term ecosystem monitoring program, and other duties related to ecosystem research and monitoring. There may be additional opportunity to contribute to basin-wide efforts to improve post-restoration monitoring programs.
Ph.D. (earned or ABD); demonstrated record of data analysis, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and oral communication; familiarity with adaptive management principles as applied to fisheries and ecosystem management; familiarity with collective impact principles; demonstrated ability to work with a diverse interdisciplinary team of scientists; possess a valid passport and driver’s license.
