Support is available for a PhD position in the Ruzzante lab at Dalhousie University (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada) for research on genomics and the estimation of population abundance in an exploited marine fish using the “Close Kin Mark Recapture” framework. The ideal candidate will have a background in population genomics and statistics. The position is part of a multidisciplinary project and will involve collaboration with colleagues in the Department of Statistics at Dalhousie, at Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) and at Memorial University of Newfoundland. The position is expected to start in the 2021/2022 academic year.
