MS and PhD Graduate Research Assistantships in Fish Genomics/Genetics
Student will be responsible for generating and analyzing genetic (microsatellite and SNP) and genomic (High Throughput DNA Sequence) data for conservation and ecological studies in fishes. A large thrust of the current research in the lab involves conservation genetics of the endangered Pallid Sturgeon. Projects involving other species may be available.


BS and/or MS degree in Biology, Fisheries, or a related field, a GPA of 3.0 or greater and competitive GRE scores. A successful student must be able to work independently in a laboratory setting and be a capable writer. Prior laboratory experience with molecular genetic techniques is preferred, but not required.
