MS research assistantship will be available to begin as early as January 2021 in the laboratory of Dr. Ed Heist at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Research project will involve analysis of Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) genotypes for conservation of chubs (Macrhybopsis spp.).
BS in Biology, Natural Resources, Bioinformatics or related discipline. Ideal candidates will have prior experience with molecular genetics techniques and/or computer programming/bioinformatics for analyzing genomic data.
