Conduct thesis research investigating relationships between hydrology of a managed riverine cypress swamp in southern Illinois and fish assemblage structure, habitat use, and recruitment. Student will be co-advised by Dr. Greg Whitledge and Dr. Jim Garvey.
B.S. in Biology, Fisheries, Aquatic Ecology or related field. GPA ≥3.0 and GRE scores in 50th percentile or higher. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and analytical skills. Fish sampling and identification experience desirable.
