Graduate student openings are expected in one of several areas including: (1) understanding the role of fishing in shaping recreational fish populations, (2) defining why fish strike fishing lures, and (3) improvements to fish care at fishing tournaments. Projects will involve both field and laboratory components. Duties include conducting experiments, collecting data, and sharing results with stakeholders and in peer-reviewed outlets.
BS in biology, ecology, fisheries, animal physiology, or related. Previous research experience or field work is preferred. Angling experience would be beneficial.
