Responsibilities:  Investigate the stress physiology of Walleye (or other game fish) with emphasis on identifying ideal conditions for recovery from catch and release angling, and handling stressors.  The approach to research could involve sampling from competitive angling tournaments, swim respirometry, physiological and molecular approaches.

  • B.Sc. in biology, physiology or related fields.
  • Highly motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a group.
  • Experience with methods in physiology, biochemistry and molecular biology, modeling and data visualization using R, swim respirometry and/or experimentation with fish are desirable.
