This student will work on several research projects involving large rivers, including the Mississippi River. Duties include oversight of field and laboratory work, equipment upkeep, and day-to-day activities for several large-river projects.
B.S. degree in fisheries, aquatic sciences, or related biological field. Minimum GPA 3.0, Minimum GRE 291 (verbal + quantitative). Other qualifications include experience with electrofishing, netting, boats, trailers, trucks, GPS, side-scan sonar, and the ability to perform rigorous work reliably. Quantitative, writing, public speaking, and computer skills are expected. Must have a valid driver’s license.
