The successful candidate will develop a dissertation project building on a 20+ year study of Appalachian headwater streams. The research project can be field, laboratory, or modeling based or some combination. In addition the candidate will oversee the Long-Term Stream Study sampling and database. Opportunities also exist to gain teaching experience.
Applicants must have a M.S. degree in fisheries science, aquatic ecology, or related discipline. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated quantitative and writing skills, and possess the ability to work as part of a research team.
