The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department is seeking to hire temporary employees for the 2019 field season. Work locations included Springfield, St. Johnsbury, Roxbury, and Essex. Duties include several field-based activities including, but not limited to, bass and fish community pond surveys, stream trout population surveys, temperature monitoring, culvert assessments, habitat improvement projects, creel surveys, data entry and equipment preparation and maintenance. The work can be physically demanding and may be conducted in adverse weather conditions. Variable hours including evenings, weekends and holidays may be required. Employees are limited to 40 hours/week. Benefits are not provided.
Environmental Assistant C or Fish and Wildlife Technician 1- minimum of 60 college credits in a natural resource related field. Related professional work may substitute for college experience. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift at least 50lbs is required.
