This is a mid-level technician position within the Native Village of Eyak’s Department of the Environment and Natural Resources. The position will support project managers in successfully continuing the long-term Copper River Chinook salmon monitoring program. Responsibilities include; fish ID; PIT and radio-tagging; collection of biometrics, scales, genetic samples; operation of research fishwheels and use of multibeam fish imaging sonar. The majority of work occurs at two well-established remote field sites. Travel, fieldwork, boat operation, and remote living for an extended period of time is required.
