Technician will assist fisheries habitat biologist in developing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining habitat restoration projects. The purpose of these projects are to address factors that are limiting the abundance, distribution, and survival of ESA listed anadromous and freshwater resident salmonids in the basin. Duties include: running irrigation pod systems, weed management, water quality monitoring, redd surveys, electrofishing, construction oversight, developing monitoring protocol, riparian planting, data management, and data analysis.
It is preferred that applicants have a BS degree in fisheries (or related field), or equivalent in job experience and training. Applicants must be detail oriented and have the ability to work alone with minimal supervision, as well as in close proximity with others. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license.
