The Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development is charged with developing programs and initiatives which protect, restore and enhance the Province’s natural fish resources. The responsibility of the Fish and Wildlife Program is to manage fish, fish habitat and fisheries for the people of British Columbia.
The regional Fisheries Stock Assessment Biologist leads the planning, development and implementation of programs to manage, assess and monitor wild fish stocks, fish habitat and sport fisheries.
