Serves as point contact to Directorate of Hoopa Valley Tribal Department as Leader of Water Division. Provides interdisciplinary expertise in physical and biological sciences. Conducts technical policy analyses, NEPA analyses, develops investigation plans and budgets and is project manager for aquatic monitoring and restoration projects.
Master’s degree (M. S.) or equivalent in Watershed Management, Hydrology or Geology plus three years related experience and/or training; or a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in same disciplines plus five years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Training and senior-level experience in application of instream flow science is highly desired. This is roughly equivalent to a GS-11 position in a federal natural resources agency.
