Identify and perform data analyses and interpretation of fisheries and ecological data; responsible for developing collection and reporting of fishery information; provide support for the statistical design and implementation of biological, ecological, and socio-economic investigations; participate in field sampling to ensure proper sampling and improve design; supervise and train technical staff in collection, entry, and review of data; Oversee expenditures and manage funds
Master’s degree in statistics, data science, fisheries science, or related field with 2 years conducting statistical analyses or related experience in data management. Experience in data manipulation using R, Python, MySQL, or other programs. Possess database design skills. Experience in collaborating with others. Competence with modern statistical methods; Knowledge of principles and practices in fishery data collection; Strong oral, written, and social communication skills to a variety of audiences. Organized, detail-oriented, capable of meeting tight deadlines. Flexibility, patience, and tolerance in a multicultural community are essential.
