Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise a native fish project to document the movement of Roundtail Chub in the Blacks Fork drainage of Southwest Wyoming. The biologist will be responsible for planning and implementing the project, supervising technicians, and writing a final report. This is a contract position funded from April 1, 2019 to November 30, 2019. This field position will require camping, hiking, wading, and carrying gear, and can occur in inclement weather.

Qualifications

Preference will be given to those with a degree in fisheries management, ecology, ichthyology, biology, natural resources management, or another closely related field, AND one or more years of applicable field experience.

  • Experience with PIT tags and/or PIT tag antennas.
  • Ability to safely operate and troubleshoot electrofishing equipment.
  • Ability to work in the field in remote areas, often in adverse conditions.

**Must have a valid driver’s license.
