The primary job responsibilities are conducting snorkeling and habitat surveys. Additional duties may include: PIT tagging fish, alpine lake surveys (gillnetting/angling), electrofishing, spawning ground surveys for Chinook Salmon, data entry, and equipment maintenance.
It is preferred that applicants be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in fisheries or other biological sciences and/or have previous fisheries work experience. Individuals with experience in the above fisheries techniques and salmonid identification will be given preference. Proficient in Microsoft applications and experience with using topographical maps/software and GPS is a plus. Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
