Fish & Wildlife Techniciansare responsible for assisting in the collection, recording, and editing of fishery-dependent and independent data in the Lower Laguna Madre ecosystem, and nearshore Gulf of Mexico. This individual is required to operate equipment safely and maintain gear, equipment and their facility and assist with training, assigning and scheduling the work of other team members as needed.
Education: Graduation from High School or GED.
FWT I: No experience required
FWT II: Four years relevant experience. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Fisheries Biology, Marine Biology or closely related field may substitute for two years of the required experience.
