Twelve full-time, seasonal positions will assist fisheries biologists with field sampling activities. These statewide-positions may be based out of Casper, Cody, Green River, Jackson, Lander, Laramie, Pinedale, and Sheridan. The positions range in duration from 6-8 months (Class Code #ATAW99 Job#07348). Duties will be variable and may include electrofishing, netting, angler surveys, chemical restoration, data entry, and equipment maintenance.
The Department is also hiring thirteen 3-4 month (Class Code #ATTP99 Job # 07349) fisheries technician positions that must be applied for separately.
High school degree plus experience in fish and wildlife resource management, research, or college course work towards a degree in fisheries or other closely related field. Must have a valid driver's license.
