Environmental Science Associates (ESA) is seeking Biological Technicians to support a variety of job duties, including fisheries surveys/field work, biological compliance monitoring, data processing, and report preparation.
1-3 years related work experience; bachelor’s degree in biology, ecology, fish and wildlife conservation or related discipline; experience working with aquatic resources in the Central Valley and Bay-Delta; experience with California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and Endangered Species Act (ESA) preferred but not required. Scientific reporting skills, critical thinking skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team required. Bay-Delta fish identification and boat operation skills are also highly desired. This physically demanding position will involve various working environments/conditions and requires that an individual be physically capable of working on boats, in a variety of aquatic environments and potentially in inclement weather.
