The official duty station is located in Olympia, WA.
This position is the Director’s designee on salmon recovery science, policy, and governmental affairs matters and establishes the policy and strategic direction for science, research, and monitoring activities statewide for the Fish Program. These activities directly support agency conservation, fishery management, hatchery operations, and salmon recovery activities statewide. This position ensures agency science and related activities meet federal and state contractual obligations and legal mandates (e.g., Federal Endangered Species Act compliance).
