This is a critical position for meeting the agency’s statewide resource conservation and management mandates relative to salmon and steelhead resources. The Statewide Salmon and Steelhead Manager provides sustainable recreational and commercial fisheries when conservation objectives are met. The Statewide Salmon and Steelhead manager reports to the Intergovernmental Salmon Manager and manages the Statewide Salmon and Steelhead Management Program, including 6 sub-units (Puget Sound Salmon Management, Puget Sound Sampling, Ocean Sampling, ESA Response, Sport rules and Planning, Modeling and Verification). This position is the senior manager in the Intergovernmental Salmon Management Unit.
