This book has its foundations as the Training Manual for Warm-water Fish Culture used as part of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service training program directed by the senior author, Jack Snow, at Marion, Alabama for 28 years. During his career at Marion, he trained more than 121 culturists using a combination of “hands on” and classroom activities. Following his retirement in 1974 he joined the faculty of the Fisheries Department of Auburn University where he continued to teach and conduct hatchery-related research as well as being active in the Department’s International program until 1983 and his second retirement.
