Do you like to study many different fields, learn from people with diverse worldviews, find creative ways to adapt to changing conditions, and integrate everything you learn to solve complex social and scientific problems? If so, you may enjoy a career in fisheries policy. In this essay, we discuss how our backgrounds as interdisciplinary fisheries scientists served us well in the fisheries policy world.
