Grenadier Fishes from the Colombian Caribbean: What Do We Know?

Abstract.—Available information on the grenadiers from the Colombian Caribbean is compiled. Depth and latitudinal distribution of reported species are shown and briefly discussed. In view of the scarcity of data and the planned extension of the fishery frontier to deep waters, emphasis is made on the need of research for future protection of populations and regulation of the fishery.
